Optimum Performance host fitness classes that are centred on combat fitness and functional training for individuals and high-performance athletes in Kildare and throughout Ireland.
Functional training encourages the construction of fast, reactive and strong athletes who are explosive and resistant. This style of training is ideal for the physical and functional conditioning of martial art and combat disciplines as it focuses on posture and joint mobility.
Performance in combat sports and fitness are heavily dependent on the regimes you follow. Our functional training fitness classes help athletes improve their strength and fitness while evening out any imbalances created by combat sports training.
Our classes are held in the Mill Community Centre and in outdoor settings. Participants can also join a class through Zoom.
What are the benefits of participating in functional training?
Participants will reduce their chances of injury due to the low impact nature of our classes. Athletes who do not necessarily want to put on excessive weight for performance reasons can increase strength while maintaining their ideal physique.
